Define the attendance close
Synthetic rule: a session starts at 18:00, ends at 19:00 and closes at 19:15. Confirmed bookings become attended only with an accepted check-in or staff evidence. Unmarked records remain pending until close; a documented dispute pauses settlement for that booking. All times here are Hong Kong local time.
| Booking | Evidence at 19:15 | Final state | Session effect |
|---|---|---|---|
| B-A1 | Accepted scan at 17:58 | Attended | Consume 1 held session |
| B-A2 | No scan; staff confirms arrival | Attended | Consume 1 held session |
| B-A3 | Dispute recorded at 19:10 | Attendance review | Keep 1 session held |
Settle each booking once evidence is complete
- Collect scans and staff attendance notes by booking ID.
- At 19:15, separate evidenced attendance, undisputed absence and open disputes.
- Record the decision and move the held session under the agreed absence policy.
If the session itself was cancelled, route to operator cancellation; do not close participants as absent.
Three bookings each hold one session. Two attend and one is under review. How many sessions are consumed?
Show the worked answer
Two are consumed and one remains held. Pending evidence is not a third attendance decision.
Keep the session close time separate from the individual attendance decision time. A later correction must reference the original settlement.
