Separate the damage observations from the owner’s decision
The sample damage area contains six display holders. The supplied product owner has already judged three suitable for repair review, one suitable for an internal display only, and two for disposal under the site’s existing approved process. These are fictional item-specific decisions; the worksheet does not supply safety or environmental disposal requirements.
| Subset | Quantity | Approved route | Completion evidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| D01–D03 | 3 | Repair review RR-D | Pending; keep held |
| D04 | 1 | Internal display only IU-D | Move IM-D to display room |
| D05–D06 | 2 | Disposal DP-D | Site disposal confirmation DC-D |
Close only the completed physical routes
- Identify damaged units and evidence
- Owner authorises route per subset
- Keep repair units held
- Record restricted-use movement
- Record completed disposal
An unauthorised salvage idea keeps stock held. Staff must not make it saleable by changing the item description or hiding the damaged status.
After IM-D and DC-D, three units remain in the damage area for repair review. The internal display unit keeps its restricted purpose and is not normal pick stock. Any repaired unit needs its own evidence and release decision. No accounting write-off value or waste-service capability is asserted.
How many have left the damage area, and how many became normal sale stock?
Show the worked answer
Three left: one for restricted internal use and two disposed. Zero became normal sale stock. Three remain held for repair review.
