Do not make attendance create its own entitlement
Synthetic rule: attendance must reference a confirmed booking. An unmatched arrival enters a front-desk review record with no session consumption. Staff may locate an existing booking or create an eligible walk-in booking under a separate availability and entitlement check. A name resemblance alone cannot establish identity.
| Arrival | Finding | Booking action | Attendance result |
|---|---|---|---|
| A-U1 | Member ID confirms B-U1 | Link existing booking | Check in B-U1 |
| A-U2 | Booked for tomorrow | Keep tomorrow booking | No attendance today |
| A-U3 | No booking; one valid unit | Availability review required | Pending; no usage |
Resolve the arrival against a valid booking
- Verify member identity and intended session without exposing another person’s records.
- Search for a confirmed matching occurrence and record the finding.
- Check in the located or newly eligible booking; otherwise keep the arrival unresolved.
No place or no entitlement means no walk-in confirmation; do not overwrite tomorrow’s booking to bypass the checks.
Which arrivals are established attendances from this table?
Show the worked answer
Only A-U1 after accepted check-in. A-U2 concerns tomorrow, and A-U3 still lacks a confirmed booking.
The unresolved-arrival queue should retain the actual arrival time so later review does not imply the person arrived at processing time.
