Apply early and late check-in boundaries

Use one explicit arrival window and route out-of-window arrivals without inventing attendance.

Define which boundary is included

Synthetic 18:00 session accepts check-in from 17:45 inclusive until 18:15 exclusive. Too-early arrival leaves the booking confirmed but not attended. A late arrival requires staff review and does not automatically become absent before attendance close. Times are recorded receipt times in Hong Kong local time.

Preserve the arrival result

  1. Read the exact booked occurrence, arrival time and window rule.
  2. Compare arrival with both window boundaries.
  3. Accept eligible check-in or record early/late handling without settling absence prematurely.

An untrusted or missing time cannot be forced into the window; record a staff-confirmed arrival decision with evidence instead.

How many of the four arrivals are accepted automatically?

Show the worked answer

Two: A-W2 and A-W3. A-W1 is early and A-W4 sits at the excluded closing boundary.

Keep arrival time and check-in acceptance time distinct when staff resolve a late arrival later.
