Preserve the attended booking
Synthetic session runs 10:00–11:00 and the member checks in at 09:55. Qualified staff S-H2 takes over from S-H1 at 10:25. No service type or duration changes. Keep one attended booking and one session consumption; responsibility is split by handover time without charging a second unit.
| Segment | Staff | Minutes | Booking effect |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10:00–10:25 | S-H1 | 25 | Original booking B-H |
| 10:25–11:00 | S-H2 | 35 | Same booking B-H |
| Attendance / entitlement | Member already checked in | 60 total | One attended session |
Record the operational handover
- Verify S-H2’s suitability and confirm the actual handover time.
- Record outgoing and incoming staff against B-H with the reason.
- Keep attendance and allocation unchanged, then close the session once.
If the service cannot be completed or changes materially, follow a separate interruption decision; this unchanged-service example does not settle that outcome.
Do two staff segments imply two consumed sessions?
Show the worked answer
No. 25 + 35 = 60 minutes of the same session, funded by one unit. Staff responsibility and member entitlement have different units.
A later correction can change the handover time without recreating attendance or issuing a duplicate consumption entry.
