Correct an arrival time without changing attendance twice

Record an evidenced timestamp correction and re-evaluate only the rule that depends on that time.

Separate arrival correction from booking status

Synthetic session accepts arrival before 18:15. A staff entry says 18:18, but an accepted door register proves 18:12. The booking is already marked attended after review and consumes one session regardless of lateness. Correct the time and late-arrival label; do not add another attendance or reverse ordinary usage.

Amend the evidence-bearing fields

  1. Compare accepted evidence with the recorded arrival time.
  2. Save old/new timestamps, evidence reference and staff reason.
  3. Recalculate the late label while keeping the existing attendance and consumption.

If a separate penalty depends on lateness, review that specific entry; the one-session example makes no penalty claim.

How far before the cutoff is the corrected arrival?

Show the worked answer

Three minutes before 18:15. It changes late to within-window; session usage remains one.

Corrections should appear as corrections in staff history, while attendance totals count the booking once.
