Decide at participant level
Synthetic rule: a three-person booking has named participant lines, one session allocation per person and no group minimum. Eligible early cancellation removes only that participant and returns their allocated session. The group header remains confirmed while at least one active participant remains.
| Participant line | Original allocation | Requested change | After change |
|---|---|---|---|
| G-1 / M-A | P-A: 1 held | None | Confirmed; 1 held |
| G-1 / M-B | P-B: 1 held | Early cancellation | Cancelled; return to P-B |
| G-1 / M-C | P-C: 1 held | None | Confirmed; 1 held |
Recalculate the party from active lines
- Identify M-B and evaluate their request against the cancellation rule.
- Cancel M-B’s line and reverse its P-B allocation.
- Set active party size to two and update participant-specific reminders.
A policy with a minimum party size needs an explicit whole-group decision; the no-minimum rule here cannot be reused unchanged.
Does cancelling M-B return a session to the group organiser?
Show the worked answer
No. The recorded allocation belongs to P-B. Two participants and two held sessions remain.
Save both the participant status and revised group size. A header-only edit loses who cancelled and where the session returned.
