Model one repair intake with several physical items
Synthetic repair counter receives customer item DEV-A with serial S44, a charger and a pouch. The customer keeps the identified item relation; the counter records custody for all three pieces. It neither adds DEV-A to sale stock nor treats the accessories as separately ordered repairs unless requested. No repair capability or ownership transfer is claimed.
| Constraint | Required record | Example decision rule |
|---|---|---|
| Main item | Customer + serial S44 + repair ID | One requested repair |
| Accessory custody | Charger and pouch with intake ID | Three physical pieces tracked |
| Source type | Customer custody; not sales receipt | No sale-stock increment |
Test work count and physical count
| Case | Input | Expected decision |
|---|---|---|
| Correct intake | 1 device + charger + pouch | 1 repair / 3 custody pieces |
| Incorrect stock import | S44 becomes sale SKU stock | Fails source segregation |
- Identify customer item and serial
- List accompanying pieces
- Record custody under repair
- Keep sale inventory unchanged
If an accessory count is disputed, keep that custody line unresolved and retain the original intake evidence.
The charger is handed back with evidence while the device and pouch remain. How many custody pieces remain?
Show the worked answer
Two pieces. The repair remains one task and sale stock still changes by zero.
Require separate work and custody counts in the demo so accessories do not become extra repairs or shop-owned stock.
