Use a declared task-outcome denominator
Synthetic guide has twenty page views across twelve unique task exposures. Six tasks confirm successful self-service, two require an agent and four supply no outcome. A view is not a resolved task, and unknown outcomes are not assumed successes. The fixture reports six confirmed successes out of twelve exposures; among the eight known outcomes, six succeed. Both fractions need their own denominator labels.
| Outcome group | Unique tasks | Known outcome | Measurement treatment |
|---|---|---|---|
| Self-service confirmed | 6 | Yes | Count confirmed success |
| Agent required | 2 | Yes | Known non-self-service outcome |
| No result supplied | 4 | No | Keep unknown |
Report each fraction with its unit
- Separate views from unique tasks
- Collect actual outcome evidence
- Keep unknowns separate
- Calculate labelled outcome fractions
Repeated views by one task do not add resolved tasks; collect the declared task identity before counting.
What are confirmed success among all exposures and success among known outcomes?
Show the worked answer
6/12 = 50% confirmed among all exposures; 6/8 = 75% among known outcomes. Four remain unknown. Twenty page views are neither denominator.
Keep unique task exposures separate from page views. Label both known and unknown outcome groups whenever these fractions are shared.
