Prepare the purchasing decision
Synthetic V-U submits three invoices. I-U1 names P-U1; I-U2 omits the PO but cites verified receipt R-U2 mapped to P-U2. I-U3 has neither reference nor verified receipt. A document from the same supplier is not automatically part of the same purchase. The local process allows evidence-backed reference recovery, not retrospective fictional orders.
| Invoice | PO reference | Receipt evidence | Next result |
|---|---|---|---|
| I-U1 | P-U1 | Reference verified | Continue matching |
| I-U2 | Missing | R-U2 verified → P-U2 | Record recovered P-U2 link |
| I-U3 | Missing | No verified receipt | Unresolved; seek source evidence |
Complete the recorded outcome
- Read supplier identity and every supplied reference.
- Follow verified receipt-to-PO links where present.
- Document recovered links or hold the invoice for evidence.
A similar amount or item name cannot replace the absent purchasing evidence.
How many invoices have a supported PO path after reference recovery?
Show the worked answer
Two: I-U1 and I-U2. I-U3 remains unresolved and must not borrow P-U1’s reference.
Recovering a reference enables review; it does not establish that the invoice is correct or payable.
