Record what is on the packing bench
The synthetic order asks for four small trays TR-S. The bench contains three TR-S and one large tray TR-L. No substitution exists. The package is still unsealed, so the packer can stop this parcel without changing a completed dispatch.
| Item | Bench count | Correction | Result |
|---|---|---|---|
| TR-S | 3; order needs 4 | Pick one additional TR-S | 4 TR-S for parcel |
| TR-L | 1; order needs 0 | Return to checked bin B-L | 0 TR-L in parcel |
| Correction PC-G | Parcel unsealed | Packer checks corrected contents | Seal only after matching |
Correct both the parcel and the wrong-item location
- Stop sealing the parcel
- Compare item identities with order
- Return wrong item with location evidence
- Pick missing correct item
- Recheck and seal
If the returned item’s condition or origin is uncertain, send it to inspection rather than placing it back as pickable stock.
PC-G retains the original three-plus-one observation and both corrective movements. Do not simply edit the pick count to four TR-S, which would hide where TR-L went. If the parcel had already left, use the dispatch and return processes instead of pretending this pre-seal correction happened.
What should the final parcel and B-L correction show?
Show the worked answer
The parcel contains four TR-S and zero TR-L. B-L receives the one checked TR-L; retain its return movement and the extra TR-S pick under PC-G.
