Use agreed weights and completed states
The synthetic plan has three indivisible tasks weighted two, three and five work units. Only the two-unit task is complete. Weights represent supplied planned effort, not actual money or earned-value accounting. Partly active work receives no completed units under this sample rule.
| Task | Weight | State | Completed units |
|---|---|---|---|
| A | 2 | Complete | 2 |
| B | 3 | In progress | 0 |
| C | 5 | Queued | 0 |
Show both count and weighted progress
- Load agreed task weights
- Confirm completed tasks
- Total completed two units
- Divide by ten planned units
- Keep count one of three beside it
If weights change, retain the prior baseline and explain the new denominator; otherwise percentages cease to be comparable.
Task count is one of three, while weighted completion is twenty percent. Neither statistic proves the remaining work will finish at the same rate. Keep partially active B visible without awarding it unsupported completion.
B now completes. What is the weighted completion?

Fifty percent: (2 + 3) / (2 + 3 + 5). Two of three tasks are complete.
