Create an output-specific field list
Synthetic shop gift receipt includes item name, quantity and return reference RET-A, but excludes price, payment method and purchaser email. The full internal sale keeps those values. Printing the gift receipt does not erase the sale or grant a return approval; RET-A is only the lookup reference.
| Constraint | Required record | Example decision rule |
|---|---|---|
| Included fields | Item, quantity, return reference | Keep RET-A for lookup |
| Excluded fields | Price, payment method, purchaser email | Not present in gift output |
| Internal history | Original sale ID and full record | Output omission does not delete values |
Compare a compliant output with an overexposed one
| Case | Input | Expected decision |
|---|---|---|
| Gift output A | Item + quantity + RET-A | Meets field rule |
| Gift output B | Same plus purchaser email | Fails excluded-field rule |
- Identify output type
- Apply its field list
- Retain internal sale relation
- Check included and excluded fields
An unreadable return reference needs correction before printing; removing it would prevent the defined lookup task.
Does RET-A on the gift receipt prove returned goods are accepted?
Show the worked answer
No. It supports finding the original sale; return identity, condition and approval remain separate decisions.
Verify an exported or printed gift copy as well as the screen; excluded fields must stay absent from each defined output.
