Check prerequisite lines in a partially accepted quotation

Distinguish a valid subset from a selection that omits a required prerequisite.

List each selected line’s prerequisites

Synthetic Q-96 allows reporting R only with data preparation P, while training T has no dependency. A customer selects R and T but omits P. Training can be recorded independently, but reporting stays unresolved. A previously completed P can satisfy the dependency only if it belongs to the same agreed data baseline; merely finding a similarly named past task is insufficient.

Resolve dependencies without expanding scope

  1. Read selected lines
  2. Expand prerequisite check
  3. Match baseline evidence
  4. Confirm independent lines; clarify blocked ones

A missing prerequisite is not permission to add it to the customer’s order automatically.

If P is completed for B-6 before the response, must it be ordered again?

Show the worked answer

Under this fixture, no: verified completion on B-6 satisfies the prerequisite. Record that evidence for R; do not duplicate P.

This checks scope dependencies, not contract bundling, discounts or stock availability. The prerequisite relationship must come from the actual agreed work.
