Revise attribution after a conversion timestamp is corrected

Recompute the supplied credit link and preserve the old attribution revision as history.

Read original and corrected event time

Synthetic visitor has clicks A10:05 and B10:08. Conversion E28 was recorded 10:10, giving B under the local rule selecting the unique latest click strictly before the event. Verified event correction changes E28 to 10:07. No lower window limit excludes A. Local process creates credit revision R2 to A and makes old R1/B historical; E28 remains one conversion.

Re-evaluate eligible prior clicks

  1. Verify corrected E28 timestamp
  2. Exclude B as later than conversion
  3. Select A10:05
  4. Create R2 and retain R1 history

Do not delete the original R1 to hide why the credit changed.

How many current conversions and current credit links result?

Show the worked answer

One conversion and one current A credit link. B survives only in R1 history, not as a second current credit.

Report current credits by event identity while keeping revision history separately. A corrected timestamp is not a new conversion.
