Check completed reimbursements before releasing the next staff payout

Keep the approved claim, actual payments and unpaid remainder separate.

Records and local rule

Original fictional claim E180 is approved at HKD 180. Confirmed completed reimbursements to the claimant are P1=60 and P2=50. The proposed next payout is 90, not yet released. Local rule permits no more than the approved amount less completed payouts; proposals do not reduce the unpaid remainder.

Process the recorded case

  1. Match payments to the approved claim and recipient
  2. Total only completed reimbursements
  3. Calculate remaining permitted payout
  4. Hold an overpayment proposal for corrected instruction

An uncertain payment result must be checked before another payout; do not silently reduce or repeat the proposed payment.

Check the outcome

Can the proposed 90 be released in full, and what remains unpaid?

Show the worked answer

Completed reimbursements 60+50=110 leave 180−110=70 unpaid. Proposed 90 exceeds 70 by 20, so hold it for corrected instruction. Approved claim stays 180 and the 90 proposal is not a paid event.
