Assign cash movements to the custodian after a joint handover cutpoint

Keep the accepted handover amount separate from later receipts.

Records and local rule

Original handover is jointly counted and accepted at 10:00 on 10 October 2026, with 400 handed from Ada to Bo. Local rule gives movements strictly after acceptance to Bo’s custody segment. A confirmed 30 receipt at 10:05 is later; it cannot change the signed 10:00 handover amount.

Process the recorded case

  1. Fix accepted handover time and amount
  2. Keep pre-cutpoint movements on the prior segment
  3. Record subsequent movements on the incoming segment
  4. Retain signed handover as its own event

A movement exactly at an unresolved acceptance time needs sequence evidence before custody attribution.

What are the handover amount and Bo’s later cash?

Show the worked answer

Handover stays 400; Bo’s cash after the later receipt is 400+30=430. The later receipt is not backdated into Ada’s signed handover.
