Replan remaining work around a supplied nonworking day

Use the project’s explicit work calendar when converting remaining effort into a finish date.

List the actual working slots

The synthetic team has six hours of remaining work and a daily capacity of three hours. Day 1 and Day 3 are working days; Day 2 is a declared project closure. These are invented calendar labels, not public-holiday claims. The task cannot run unattended on Day 2.

Move effort to the next authorised slot

  1. Confirm remaining effort
  2. Load supplied closure calendar
  3. Allocate only working capacity
  4. Record finish on Day 3

If Day 3 availability is unconfirmed, show the final three hours as unscheduled rather than declaring a finish date.

The six hours span three calendar days but two working days. Keep the closure visible beside the revised finish so another planner does not restore the invalid Day 2 assignment.

If remaining work becomes seven hours with the same three-day calendar, is Day 3 enough?

Show the worked answer

No. Day 1 and Day 3 supply six hours, leaving one hour for a later confirmed working slot.
