Work with the example
Does the full label fit the supplied six-character allowance? A5 contains 香港會議室A; B5 is 6; C5 uses LEN(A5). This exercise uses basic Latin and BMP Chinese characters, not a universal screen-width or emoji limit.
| Label | LEN | Result |
|---|---|---|
| 香港會議室A | 6 | Within allowance |
| Room A | 6 | Within allowance |
Edit the working cells
Insert a space before A: 香港會議室 A has length 7 and the result says Shorten wording. A fresh allowance 7 accepts that same complete label. Write a reviewed shorter label in E5 rather than overwriting the original. Empty text has LEN 0, but that does not satisfy a required-label rule.
Check the failure case
E8 uses LEFT(A5;B5). At the edited six-character allowance it discards the final A, which may identify the room. Length review is different from safely truncating an imported field.
Does LEN=6 establish that a label fits a given pixel width?
Show the worked answer
No. Character count and rendered width are different measurements.
