Reserve venue occupation beyond the guest event time

Store event time and the full supplied occupation window separately.

Keep setup and clearance in the space calendar

Synthetic event runs 14:00–16:00, with one hour of setup and thirty minutes of clearance in the same exclusive space. Its occupation is 13:00–16:30. Another booking at 16:15 conflicts with clearance, even though guests left at 16:00. The supplied buffer durations are task inputs, not universal venue rules.

  1. Record public event interval
  2. Add supplied setup and clearance
  3. Compare full occupation
  4. Preserve public and operational times

If clearance duration is unknown, occupation is unresolved; do not substitute zero minutes.

Setup increases to ninety minutes. What is the revised occupation start?

Show the worked answer

12:30. The occupation end remains 16:30 because clearance did not change.

Show setup-only and clearance-only conflicts in acceptance cases, not only overlapping guest sessions.
