Use the set’s component map
Synthetic shop assembles set G from two cups C and one holder H. There is no separate preassembled G stock. Selling three sets consumes six C and three H; the order still shows three sold sets. The map version used by the order must stay attached even if a later G version changes composition.
| Constraint | Required record | Example decision rule |
|---|---|---|
| Composition | Set G revision + C:2,H:1 | One G requires both components |
| Quantity grain | Sold sets and component units | 3 G → 6 C and 3 H |
| Stock treatment | Assemble-to-order flag | No extra preassembled G deduction |
Test set count and component sufficiency
| Case | Input | Expected decision |
|---|---|---|
| Three sets with C6/H3 | All component needs covered | Assembly quantity fits |
| Three sets with C6/H2 | One H missing | Cannot fulfil all three sets |
- Read order set revision
- Expand required components
- Compare each component
- Record consumption and sold sets separately
If G is already stocked as preassembled units, the stock rule must change; this assemble-to-order model cannot deduct both finished and component stock.
Two sets are sold under this map. What component quantities are required?
Show the worked answer
Four C and two H. The sales unit remains two sets, with no separate G stock deduction.
Include the composition revision and stock mode in the requirement; a set picture and one availability flag cannot establish the component decision.
