Cancel a departure case after administrative effects already occurred

Create explicit compensation requests instead of pretending completed changes never happened.

List completed departure effects

Fictional L42 is cancelled by a supplied source decision. Directory entry was hidden and desk D42 was released then assigned to S43. Local administration may request directory republication, but cannot reclaim S43’s desk from this cancellation alone; a new desk request is required. No actual account or employment change is performed.

Prepare compensation by effect

  1. Record cancellation decision for L42
  2. Retain H42 and desk history
  3. Open P42 and N42
  4. Close compensation on actual outcomes

Do not overwrite S43’s supplied desk assignment to simulate reversal.

How many compensation requests are needed, and is D42 restored?

Show the worked answer

Two requests. D42 is not restored to the cancelled-departure staff; it remains assigned to S43 until a separate decision changes it.

Case cancellation and restoration of each administrative service have separate evidence. Keep P42/N42 pending until their recipients confirm actual results.
