Reopen a completed task with a separate rework record

Preserve the original completed output and track the specific reopened work without counting a second full delivery.

Link the defect to the original completed work

Synthetic task T-D completed a twelve-page pack. The operator later finds incorrect labels on two pages. The owner opens RW-D for those two pages and leaves the original completion evidence in history. No new pages or scope are requested.

Close the rework after checking corrected pages

  1. Record reported label issue
  2. Open linked two-page rework
  3. Correct named pages
  4. Check replacement pages
  5. Close RW-D and record current pack revision

A request for a thirteenth page is new scope and needs a separate decision; it is not hidden inside the two-page repair.

The project still has one twelve-page deliverable and a two-page rework task. Separate effort on RW-D from initial production effort so completion statistics do not pretend two packs were delivered.

Once RW-D closes, how many delivered packs and how many corrected pages are recorded?

Show the worked answer

One pack, with two corrected pages. The original twelve-page scope is unchanged.
