Compare route finish and permitted use
Synthetic task T-A needs a reference set. The original source is confirmed ready at hour six; checking it takes two hours. An explicitly approved alternative is ready now but needs five hours of preparation. The owner permits that alternative for this internal task only; customer-facing use is excluded.
| Route | Ready + preparation | Permitted scope |
|---|---|---|
| Original | 6 + 2 = hour 8 | Original task scope |
| Alternative ALT-A | 0 + 5 = hour 5 | Internal T-A only |
| Chosen route | ALT-A / hour 5 | Owner decision REC-A |
Record the route and its restrictions
- Confirm original readiness
- Verify approved alternative scope
- Compare total preparation finishes
- Choose ALT-A for internal T-A
If alternative permission is missing, keep it a proposal; its earlier finish alone does not make it usable.
ALT-A recovers this task three hours earlier. Preserve the restricted purpose in the task record and do not silently route later public output through it. The original-source request can remain open for its separate intended use.
Does REC-A allow ALT-A to supply the customer publication task?
Show the worked answer
No. It enables only internal T-A at hour five. The three-hour recovery does not extend the approved use.
