Booking capacity planner

Build a feasible daily timetable from appointment length, cleanup time, staff, rooms and one unavailable window. Export the schedule.

One day, identical appointments, one staff member and one room per appointment. All resources pause during the unavailable window. Cleanup must finish before a break or closing.

7 feasible appointments; one appointment can run at a time.

Can a 45-minute appointment start at 11:30 if the break begins at 12:00?

Show the worked answer

No. It would end at 12:15 and its 15-minute cleanup would end at 12:30, inside the unavailable window. With this model, both the appointment and cleanup must fit in one continuous available interval.

Use the timetable within its stated model

Every appointment uses one staff member and one room for its duration plus cleanup. All staff are interchangeable, all rooms are interchangeable, and the unavailable window applies to all resources. The tool fills each available interval from its earliest start; under these identical-length constraints this gives the largest count, but other start times can yield the same count. Times are local clock times on one day; overnight opening is not supported.

A zero staff or room count yields no appointments. Leaving both unavailable fields empty removes the break. A window outside opening hours has no effect; one covering the full day removes all availability. Different appointment lengths, existing bookings, staff-specific shifts, equipment, group sessions and travel time require a different model. Capacity is available supply, not a demand or sales forecast.
