One reachable link does not answer every visibility question
This original local publication policy has three modes. listed is reachable and included in store search, collections and the intended sitemap. unlisted is reachable but excluded from those three inventories. search-hidden remains reachable and in collections but is excluded from search and sitemap. Every Google-indexed field is null: this model has no GSC observation.
| Product mode | Reachable | Store search | Collection | Sitemap eligible | Google indexed |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| listed | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes | Unknown |
| unlisted | Yes | No | No | No | Unknown |
| search-hidden | Yes | No | Yes | No | Unknown |
Inspect the intended outputs separately
A reachable unlisted page is not a failed link. A product missing from store search may be intentional under the declared mode. Sitemap eligibility is only intended inclusion in the local policy; actual public XML, robots/meta directives and Google processing require separate checks.
- Read the product mode
- Inspect each local visibility output
- Check public implementation separately
- Use real GSC for indexing
Unknown product mode leaves every local visibility output unknown.
P-unlisted becomes listed. Does that prove Google has indexed it?
Show the worked answer
No. Its four local outputs become true, but GoogleIndexed remains null. Eligibility and observed indexing are different facts.
Prepare a visibility requirement, not an indexing promise
Use the complete matrix and JSON cases to specify which pages should appear in each inventory. A web/search brief should identify deliberate exclusions and the evidence needed to confirm the public implementation.
Only listed, unlisted, search-hidden and null modes are supported. Unknown mode does not become hidden or public by default. This local model changes no live visibility setting, accesses no secret product, and does not submit a sitemap or predict rankings.
Link this matrix to the existing product-master/presentation comparison when deciding who owns the storefront output. Indexing observations should remain factual and dated in the internal evidence.
