Compare the rule with concrete cases
Original fictional batch is ready when it has at least one note and every note has an author. One authored note in a mixed batch is insufficient. An empty batch is explicitly not ready, avoiding an unstated empty-set interpretation.
| Batch | Notes / with authors | Original every+nonempty rule | Any-authored alternative |
|---|---|---|---|
| B1 | 3 / 3 | Ready | Ready |
| B2 | 3 / 1 | Not ready | Ready |
| B3 | 0 / 0 | Not ready | Not ready |
Work through the distinction
Use both total members and qualifying members. The word “has” can mean at least one, while “every” covers the entire declared collection.
A two-note batch has one author-filled note. Is it ready?
Show the worked answer
No. One note still lacks an author, so the every-member condition fails.
Acceptance wording to adapt
Set batch_ready=true only when note_count>0 and every contained note has an author. Return false for empty batches or any missing author. Do not use an any-member test.
