Map configurations to atomic spaces
Synthetic hall H contains left space L and right space R. Whole H consumes both; split mode permits L and R separately. During the same interval, H conflicts with either L or R, but separate L and R bookings may coexist under this supplied layout rule. No capacity or regulatory approval is asserted.
| Constraint | Required record | Example decision rule |
|---|---|---|
| Atomic space | L and R identities | Cannot allocate an atom twice |
| Configuration map | H → {L,R}; L → {L}; R → {R} | H overlaps both partitions |
| Interval | Start and end per allocation | Conflict requires shared atom and overlapping time |

- Choose requested configuration
- Expand to L/R allocation
- Compare time and shared spaces
- Confirm only nonconflicting configuration
A new partition layout needs a new map; similar names do not establish that the underlying areas are unchanged.
R is occupied 10:00–11:00. Can H be confirmed for that same interval?

No. H requires R as well as L, so it conflicts on R even if L is free.
Include whole-versus-part conflicts in the requirements demo; a list of distinct room names is insufficient.
